Sales tax at your rate
Multiply the subtotal by your manually entered tax rate.
How this works
Tax amount = pretax subtotal × entered tax percentage/100. Total including tax = subtotal + tax amount. The calculator applies one rate to the full entered subtotal.
Example
The illustration may use different inputs from the reproducible default inputs listed below.
The defaults give $100 × 8/100 = $8 tax and $100 + $8 = $108 total. With all reset-default inputs, total including tax: $108.
- Pretax subtotal ($)
- 100
- Your sales tax rate (%)
- 8
- Total including tax
- $108
Scope and assumptions
No jurisdiction lookup, current rate database, exemptions, mixed taxable items, tax-inclusive reversal or line-item rounding rules are included. Supply and verify the applicable rate yourself; this is arithmetic, not tax advice.
